Classic pork chops
On the stove
- In a bowl, mix onion, garlic, maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and water. Set aside.
- On your work surface, coat pork chops in oil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large, hot skillet set over high heat, brown chops for a few seconds on each side. Add the reserved mixture and coat the chops with it.
- Cover and continue cooking over low heat until the thermometer inserted in the centre of the chops reads 61 °C (142 °F) for pink doneness. Let stand for 3 minutes before serving.
