This recipe is very easy

Maple caramel sauce and caramelized bacon

10 minutes Cook time 15 minutes Prep time 180 ml (3/4 cup) servings

Ingredients

For an even more decadent dessert, add maple-glazed bacon

Preparation

On the stove

  1. In a saucepan over medium high heat, bring syrups to a boil. Simmer until candy thermometer reaches 123 °C (253 °F). Remove from heat and gently stir in cream, butter, vanilla and salt. Whisk until sauce is smooth. Pour into a container and let cool. Set aside in the fridge.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until browned and crispy. Drain and pat dry on a dish lined with paper towel. Add bacon to caramel sauce and serve over maple walnut or vanilla ice cream. If desired, top with a slice of maple-glazed bacon and maple caramel and bacon popcorn.
