Cuban-style grilled cheese with ham

On the stove

  1. Butter crust of bread.
  2. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and mustard. Spread the bread crumbs with mayonnaise mixture.
  3. Garnish with Gruyère cheese. Divide pulled ham and pickle slices. Add peppers to taste and slices of raclette cheese. Close the sandwichs.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, place sandwiches and add a large plate, on top to flatten. Allow sandwiches to brown for 4–5 minutes. Remove plate. Gently turn over. Add a large plate again and continue cooking for 4–5 minutes, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. To serve, slice grilled cheese sandwiches in half. Serve with pickles and dill chips, if desired.
