Teriyaki Pork

Vermicelli salad


On the stove

  1. Prepare marinade in a large bowl. Combine teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, honey, ginger and lemon. Set aside 60 mL (¼ cup) of the marinade in the fridge. Add pork strips to remaining marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but no more than 12 hours.
  2. Drain pork strips and thread in a zigzag fashion onto 8 skewers, alternating with green onions. Grill on the barbecue, in the oven on broil, or in a grill pan for about 8 to 10 minutes. Turn skewers halfway through cooking and brush with marinade.

Vermicelli salad

  1. In the meantime, combine all salad ingredients in a bowl. Add reserved marinade. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Spread skewers over salad and garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro.
