Fresh Bacon and Pork Steak Salad

On the BBQ

  1. Combine canola oil, lime juice, honey, cumin and shallot in a bowl.
  2. Marinate steaks in 80 mL (⅓ cup) of this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Divide remaining ingredients onto plates and refrigerate.
  4. Preheat barbecue to high.
  5. Drain meat and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the steaks. Season during cooking.
