Pork Fried Rice

Ingredients

Notes : You can also use some diced leftover pork roast. Pork strips can come from the tenderloin, the leg or the loin. This recipe is perfect for lunches.

Preparation

On the stove

  1. In a large skillet set over high heat, heat half the oil and lightly brown pork strips for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside on a plate.
  2. In the same skillet set over medium heat, sauté cabbage, white part of onions, bell pepper, celery and garlic until tender. Add peas. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. In another large skillet set over high heat, heat remaining oil and sesame oil.
  4. Sauté rice until lightly browned. Add meat, reserved vegetables, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Warm and mix well to combine.
  5. Drizzle in egg and continue cooking for approximately 2 to 3 minutes while stirring. Season to taste.
