Bacon Caramel Sauce

On the stove

  1. In a pot over medium heat, sauté the bacon pieces until crunchy, about 10–12 minutes. Set aside on a sheet of paper towel; make sure to leave 2 tbsp. of bacon grease in the pot.
  2. Add all the other sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the bacon, mix gently, then serve over ice cream, cake, grilled fruit, baked sweet potatoes, or something similar.
