Fitcook bacon pork burgers
Ingredients
Patty
Coleslaw
Caramelized onion
Your choice of toppings
Preparation
On the stove
Patty
- Place all patty ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
- With wet hands, form 4 patties.
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat (or on the BBQ) for 3–4 minutes on each side. Set aside.
Coleslaw
- Place sour cream, sesame oil, orange juice, maple syrup and rice vinegar in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and whisk together. Add all other coleslaw ingredients and mix well.
- Assemble burgers with toasted buns, hot sauce, patties, caramelized onions, coleslaw and microgreens.
Caramelized onion
- In a skillet over medium heat, spray with camelina oil and add chopped bacon and onions. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add all other caramelized onion ingredients to skillet. Continue cooking for 15–20 minutes, stirring regularly. Set aside.
